Sometimes you don’t realize how good you have it. Much of my late teens and early twenties was spent trying to get away from my home town in western Maryland. I wanted bigger and faster and well, just more. Now as an adult, with a family of my own, I find myself returning here every summer and being incredibly grateful for this rural community of family and friends. I’ll always be a lake girl.
